Swiss Mountain View Egg Farm was started in 1970 by Charley and Maria Steiner in Ramona, California. Prior to owning his own egg farm, Charley was a manager of a local egg farm and prior to that had managed a couple of other egg farms in Southern California and in Illinois. His desire had always been to have his own farm, so Charley and Maria decided to buy an existing egg farm in Ramona and raise their young family there. After buying it, they transformed the business beyond just producing eggs to include egg processing and egg wholesaling. Through a difficult ten year period, they doubled production and were able to sell nearly all of their eggs through their wholesale business.  More the 35 years later, the farm is still in full operation serviing our customers that reach from the Mexican border to north San Diego country.
